Family keep in close contacts
STAFF at a Cwmbran opticians have really added a personal touch to the service with four members of the same family working in store.
The workforce at Specsavers includes store director and senior optometrist Richard Ward, who works alongside his wife, Anne, an optometrist, and their sons Gareth, also an optometrist, and Chris, a hearing aid dispenser for the store.
The family unit maintains that a well-respected and trusted optometry and hearing service is given to the local community.
Richard Ward said: "We really benefit from being a family team, if a client asks for me and I'm busy, we can say that my wife, Anne, is free to see them. They are always comforted to know that it is a family partnership.
"Our customers receive the benefits that come with being associated with a nationwide chain, such as quality, choice, and value for money, but also a friendly, trusted and personalised service from working with our family."
Mr Ward's son, Chris, said: "Working here is fantastic; I really enjoy the technicality of the job, the friendliness of the staff and working with the vast mix of customers."
